Step-1:  

•    Open Google Play on you android mobile on top left of the screen show drop down menu and tap on Settings.

Step -2: 

• Simply un-tick  the box where it says 'Auto-update apps' 

iOS 7 & iOS 8

           

Step 1:

• Open Settings and go to "iTunes 7 App Store"
• just "turnoff" the green switch next to Updates.

Step 2:

• Also "turnoff" use mobile data or WiFi.

Windows Phone 8 & 8.1

Step 1:

• Head to Settings > Applications
• Tap on  Store in applications , you can check App Updates option there.
